| Bio: | Well, I was born in Hancock, Michigan back in 1977. For those of you who don't know (That would prolly be most of you...) Hancock is a small campus town in Upper Peninsula Michigan. My dad was attending Michigan Tech, getting a degree in Civil Engineering at the time. We moved a couple of times. Like whenever I had a brother on the way, or more space was needed. So, after 11 years, The John Dingeldein family (all five of us) ended up in Willoughby Hills, Ohio; living in a four bedroom house on a one acre lot. Not a bad thing, really. We had lots of woods to romp around in. People tell me I'm a smart lad. Too bad I misused those brains, didn't do the homework, and almost didn't graduate High School. After my dad sat me down and told me the Harsh Truth of what post-graduation had in store for a guy like me, I found myself saying "What the hell, I could do worse" and in the local Army Recruiting office. Long story short, eight months later, I found myself on a plane to Fort Knox, Kentucky. Now, it's a nice place to visit, don't get me wrong, but trust me, you don't want to be locked down there for four months of basic training. Anyway, in 1997, the Army came through on part of its contract, and sent me to Fort Lewis, Washington. Which totally ruled, because I had an aunt and uncle who lived near there. There was a comic shop within walking distance of their place. That's where I met Chris Pascual. For the most part, the rest is history. 19 months in Korea later, I came back to Fort Lewis to (hopefully) finish what passes for an Army career. Then came the 9/11 attacks, and the war on Afgahnistan, and today, where I am starting this livejournal. Update (A little over a year later): Other stuff has happened. Not all of it has shown up here. For those who want to friend me: Go ahead. Odds are, I'll friend you back. I'm gonna warn you right now, though: I'm goofy at times, angsty at others, and when I am not either of those, I'm generally either boring or pissed off. And I wax philosphical when coming down off a drunk. And at all times, I am a geek. I've been told this repeatedly, and I embrace my Geek status. Warning: This livejournal, looking back at it, is my F-Bomb repository. I take all the F-bombs I normally might say out in the world, and say them here.
